I was notified today that a Song Thrush we ringed at Shuart on 22nd October 2008 had been hunted and killed at Luis Carlos Ferreira Lemos Santos, Monsanto, Alcanena, Portugal on 4th January 2015. This was 1,534 km SSW of where we ringed it. This was a first year "continental" Song Thrush we caught in October on its autumn migration south, a journey it had made seven times before being killed.
