March 31st
There was still a gale force westerly blowing after lunch when we visited Shuart in the hope that the trees and bushes there might afford us a bit of protection from the wind. Most birds seemed to be sheltering too and we only saw 2 Green Woodpeckers, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 4 Ring-necked Parakeets, 2 Sparrowhawks, 5 Red-legged Partridges, 1 Kestrel, 1 Lapwing, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Goldcrest and 2 Long-tailed Tits.
