The blustery NNE wind gradually dropped and the sun came out as we walked from Reculver to Coldharbour this morning. We saw 3 Shelduck, 6 Mute Swans, 2 Kestrels, 1 Whitethroat, 5 Cormorants, 3 first summer Mediterranean Gulls E, 12 Oystercatchers, 8 Ringed Plovers, 3 Little Egrets, 8 Mallard, 7 Knot W, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 6 Linnets, 1 Pied Wagtail and 3 Goldfinches.
This evening we walked inland from Reculver and recorded 1 Kestrel, 1 Turtle Dove, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 2 Whitethroats, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Chiffchaff, 5 Swifts, 14 Mute Swans, 1 Shelduck, 10 Tufted Ducks, 2 Pochard, 2 Blackcaps, 2 Little Grebes, 40 Sand Martins and 1 Yellow Wagtail.
