November 2nd
With thick fog still shrouding the Marsh it was more a matter of birdhearing than birdwatching this morning as we walked from Reculver to Coldharbour. We recorded 17 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 1 Common Sandpiper, 3 Kingfishers, 10 Oystercatchers, 4 Ringed Plovers, 22 Meadow Pipits, 1 Curlew, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Stonechats, 67 Linnets, 10+ Golden Plovers, 3 Pied Wagtails, 1 Grey Plover, 9 Goldfinches, 1 Dunlin, 2 Sanderling and 1 Grey Wagtail.
We also still have at least two "Continental" Coal Tit in our garden at Bishopstone.
