I would like to make a plea to visiting birders and photographers who come to see the Shorelarks and Lapland Bunting. Please remain on the seawall to find and observe the birds. This afternoon there were at least seven birders and photographers walking up and down the beach below the seawall trying to see/flush the Shorelarks. All this does is to make the birds more flighty and spoils it for birders coming later. With a bit of patience and some field craft you can get superb views and photographs from the seawall without any disturbance to the birds.

This afternoon we walked from Chamber's Wall to Coldharbour and back along the Green Wall. We saw 2 Kestrels, 18 Redwings, 15 Song Thrushes, 11 Stonechats, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 4 Redshanks, 6 Turnstone, 1 Wheatear, 58 Mallard, 2 Rock Pipits, 15 Wigeon and 9 Dark-bellied Brent Geese.
