October 2nd
We arrived at Reculver Towers at 0630 for a seawatch and were joined by Derek Smith and Dave Smith. During three and a half hours there was a steady trickle of birds mainly flying W. We counted 1 Manx Shearwater that later flew back E, 2 summer plumaged Red-throated Divers, 17 Great Skuas, 1 Arctic Skua, 17 Cormorants, 208 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 15 Gannets, 14 Sandwich Terns E, 65 Wigeon, 4 Teal, 1 Sooty Shearwater (180th) and 1 large auk.
Later Matt found a Ring Ouzel inland from Reculver.
