July 6th
The threatened early morning showers moved past south of us so that our walk from Reculver to Coldharbour was dry and warm but breezy. The highlight of the morning was finding 31 Mediterranean Gulls roosting in groups on the beach. These are likely to be the failed breeders from the Medway moving out as most birds were adults with only one or two first summer birds.
